Northern Ireland Claims FAQs

Q. What can I claim for?
A. You can claim on ALL types of loan agreements, from car loans, credit cards, mortgages and credit agreements. Northern Ireland Claims will reclaim the total cost of the Payment Protection insurance (PPI) inclusive of any interest paid by you on any mortgage, loan or credit agreement taken out by you in the past ten years. We can also claim to have your loan repayments reduced during your payment protection claim.

Q. Do I have to pay anything upfront?
Northern Ireland Claims have a strict code – we do not request any upfront fees or advances. All PPI cases are assessed on a No Win, No Fee basis.

Q. Can I make a PPI claim on a loan which has already been repaid?
A. Yes, you can make a payment protection claim against a loan which has already been repaid in full.

Q: Do I need my a copy of the contract of agreement?
A. This is not necessary. Northern Ireland Claims can obtain a copy of the contract from your specific lender or lenders.

Q: How much will I be charged?
A. Northern Ireland Claims charge a flat fee of 30% plus VAT of any compensation you receive on your Payment Protection claim.

Q: How long will it take?
A. It can take from just 8 weeks to win a PPI claim. Once we’ve reviewed your PPI claim and presented it to the lender, they have just 8 weeks to reply. Normally this is where we expect your claim to be settled, however, claim and review times do vary and it may take slightly quicker or longer as lenders are overwhelmed with claims against them.
